ICE BREAKER: What is your favorite annual tradition?

1. Meals have served an important role in human society from the beginning. What are some ways you have used meals to be a blessing to others?

2. Jesus began a new meal for His followers, which we know as communion. What have you grown to appreciate most about the regular practice of taking communion with the church?

3. Communion is a necessary and helpful reminder for Christians. What else has served as a helpful reminder when you get off track?

4. In verses 22-24, Jesus refers to the bread and wine as his body and blood. How do we know these elements are solely symbolic?
