The Result of Remembering

November 17, 2019 Speaker: AJ Roberts Series: Heard and Stirred

Passage: Nehemiah 4:15–4:23

God heard the cry of Nehemiah and thus stirred the Jews to heed their leader's charge to "remember the Lord!" With a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other, the construction continues on with their new-found resolve. Supporting the entire project was the reality that God would be the one to fight for them.

Questions:

  1. ICE BREAKER: What's your greatest skill set?

  2. Why do you think Christians struggle to "remember the Lord?"

  3. Share about a time when you recommitted to the cause.

  4. How can you leverage your gifts to build up and/or protect the church?

  5. Interact: "Be killing sin or it will be killing you."

  6. Are you personally inclined to rally or isolate? Why do you think that is?

  7. In your current context, how is God calling you to "return to courage"?

  8. As you know, our 3 missionary families often face challenging situations. As a group, please take time to lift them in prayer. Pray that they would continually remember the Lord, which would cause them to trust God more with each passing day.
