Passage: John 13:21–:38
Betrayal and denial are painful realities of the world we live in. How are we to navigate the difficult days and dark memories of being wounded, rejected, ignored, and abandoned? We find ourselves deeply troubled and often covered in fear as a result of our experiences. We must remember that we are not alone and we are not the first to walk this path. John 13 gives us the reality that our greatest hope, Jesus, also endured these bitter moments. Betrayed and denied Jesus loved, forgave, and reconciled. Jesus’ love and forgiveness is greater than our betrayal and denial. Before we work to demonstrate this type of forgiveness we must first receive it!
